Beach Place Gulf Shores
(Jan 2008) What we hope will
eventually become the envisioned Gulf Place area of Public Beach in Gulf
Shores may be something else for a while longer.
| Gulf Place has been planned to
be a few blocks of pedestrian friendly boardwalk and shops with
condos and hotels built above. |
|
| Due to the slowdown of real estate activity
along the Gulf Coast, the owner or some of the beach parcels
included in the proposed Gulf Place development has asked the Gulf
Shores City Council to allow him to build a restaurant/bar called
"Beach Place". Owner, Saul Zislin and partners doing
business as Beach Place Development LLC want to build an open air
restaurant w/ roll up garage style doors that includes a children's
play area, cabanas, a wading pool and parking. They have drawn up a
conceptual illustration of what they propose to build.
Don't know if it is going to be approved, the Dec. 26th, Islander Newspaper article about it was
vague.

Below is a pedestrian bridge that has recently been built on West Beach.
Features like this will soon connect our north and south Beach Blvd. properties.
